Model Banter, Moans and Ramps Spring/Summer 2014

Recommended Posts

Anyway back to Model Banter... I'm really liking the late summer/early autumn warmth that is showing up on the GFS, though it's a shame that it's arriving just as the new school term commences. Never mind though, sunshine and heat is always welcome, in my opinion!

LOL, its September and for heat in September you need a very warm southerly flow, this week looks your run of the mill early autumn dry warm spell with sunshine not guaranteed, remember lots of dull mornings from such setups as fog and low cloud can be a problem, really wish people remember days aren't as long as May/June/July now and any HP will give lower temps than such setups then.

I think a false sense of hope has been generated for an unusual mini-heatwave next week, due to the talk of Cristobal whipping up air from the continent and also the models which were originally forecasting temps into the high 20s. The reality is next week could see settled weather and temps into the low  20s, which is quite common for early September and not that unusual. It's a step up from August though!
