Now fairly sunny and warm. I'm off to Cambridgeshire this weekend. Staying a few miles from Huntingdon (not Huntingdon itself, as in my experience it's a surprisingly crap town) but should enjoy a walk and some beers in a few of the decent establishments along the Ouse.

I've just looked at Huntingdon on the Web and came across this. Posted Image

I have to disagree with the Mayor here. Apologies if anyone from the area takes offence, but in my experience I did find the town totally uninspiring, although the area around it was pretty decent, the last time I visited - recently.

Here is some info' about Littleport, Steve. Lovely place I think and a lot of my ancestors are from here. (That's why I've got webbed toes:D) http://www.information-britain.co.uk/county34/townguideLittleport/I love the bleak but beautiful fens. Hope you have a really good weekend. :)

Hi Steve, very envious, great weather, country walks with photo and drinking opportunities, sounds like my kind of weekend. Have fun! Pleased to see the balance tipping towards a warmer and drier Easter now, can't wait! Posted Image

Definitely! I'm always nervous about the weather at Bank Holidays, so won't look too far ahead until Tuesday or so. I don't understand those that want cold and wet weather then (and there appear to be one or two on the Model Thread)

Sunny weather over public holidays is good for the soul (in most cases), good for the economy and general well-being of the country imho. :D

I have ideas about walking the Ouse Valley Way this year, so would go through Littleport at some point, although it's a little distant this weekend.

It looks like Cambridgeshire should have good sunshine during the morning / midday period tomorrow, but will cloud up in the afternoon, with the possibility of light rain later. Sunday looks nice and sunny.

Afternoon all

A nice and mild afternoon here, some bright hazy sunshine and only a light breeze, and still dry too.

Some fantastic pics again from you all again, rep given.

Have a three day weekend as some of you know, and whilst tomorrow does not look too good the weather Sunday and Monday is looking promising for me to get out into the garden to have a tidy up out there, I can do the washing and cleaning tomorrow instead.

Have a great day everyone and enjoy the weekend :)

Morning all, what a beautiful morning, lovely sunrise, with the sun turning what cloud there is about to a lovely pinky orange, absolutely beautiful. Been a hectic week, with plenty of work things completed which must be good. Have a great weekend everyone for those who are competing in the marathon I hope it goes well. I think it was called a mackerel sky, very small closely packed clouds with the tops being white and the bottoms pink.

We should have had a reasonable sunrise here, but a late light fog ruined it unfortunately. It sprang up a half hour before sunrise.

About to head to Cambridgeshire, for a day outdoors, before a hectic week coming up.

Have a good weekend all. :)

Morning all

Cloudy start to the day here but strangely it is still brighter than you would expect but not sunny sadly, dry at the mo and while it is not warm it is not too bad out, finally got all the washing done and out on the line, hope the light breeze will speed up the drying bit for me before any rain does get here later.

Will pop out a bit later as I need to go to the library, other than that and some house work my day is done chores wise, now I just need to fill that time with something enjoyable.

Some nice pics again as always :)

Hope you all are having a good day :)

Morning

First day of ten days off for me so hoping for a continuation of the reasonably sunny and warmish weather we've been having though if the breeze could go that'd be fab ;)

Still can't believe all the trouble that was gone to for the snow depth cup and then not a flake of snow! Oh well, at least it's all ready for next winter eh?

That's it BJ you photos are exactly what I was trying to describe if you took them at 6 then that's the exact time I was looking at the sunrise. Looked absolutely stunning as your photos do, has that cloud formation got a name? You don't see it to often but mostly I notice it at sunrise and sunset.

Hi CK, sorry not been ignoring you, just had to visit the mother-in-law in darkest Essex! I believe the cloud formation is called altocumulus, I'm sure SteveC will confirm if he gets a chance on his busy drinking/walking weekend.Posted Image

He is currently ordering another pint but should be along soon I think.

Sun has come out here though, and no rain still, w00t!

might be summer next :)

Hello all

Arrived at last in North Pembrokeshire, first visit since the Autumn, so happy to be here again, can already feel the work stress easing - first days off since New Years Day.  Cloudy and dry, still really bright - the extra 20 minutes or so of light at the end of the day that come from being so far West is rather wonderful.

Tomorrow, who knows; skies, mostly .....

Have a great rest of the weekend all

Evening all,

I'm so glad it stayed dry here, I had a very productive morning with two lines of washing, bathed dogs and cleaned the kitchen - then had a pamper afternoon to relax with a nice facial and back massage - I feel exhausted now though so an early night for me and a nice walk and Sunday roast to look forward to tomorrow hopefully !

Drizzle just arrived here (washing still out too, as it never dried fully)
