Thanks Jax and BJ, it's very hard to keep your cool when you are having to sign your house, pension fund, savings etc away, because the bank hadn't done their job.

Got no idea what the weather was like today, but tonight it's much fresher out there, the smog seemed to have departed and the cloud have a mottled look about it.

Those temps are a bit rollacoaster, where are the high teens and when are they coming back? (I did look at the recent output and to my eye it looks like cooler for a while with a few scattered warmish days)

Some interesting looking skies about tonight, folks. They look a bit stormy, but I doubt it.

Good evening all and I hope you all had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend.Posted Image

The week here has been mild for the time of year, but not particularly pleasant with overcast skies and high pollution levels. Struggling for breath to say the least.

...what is the coldest part of an ice sheet?

A. The base
B. The middle

Find the answer in the Know Your Earth Frozen Poles quiz at

http://climate.nasa.gov/interactives/frozen-poles-quiz/frozen-poles-quiz

I managed to score 10/10 (thanks to a couple of lucky guesses) ...which makes me a scientist  Posted Image

Beautiful morning, made you feel great to wake up on a day like today. Got food shopping this morning, footy this afternoon, and nothing tomorrow. So what wil go wrong, well footy is the most likely to spoil the day. Have a great one today, I got that nice warm feeling in my tummy that normally indicate I am going to, or of course it could be that the coffee was to hot :-)

Morning

Sunny start here, pollution and haze gone. Good times, especially as I'm heading into London today :)

Morning all

Had the most wonderous lie in this morning, feel refreshed after a week of constant tiredness since the clock change, got the washing out as it is quite breezy this morning and feel it will help get it dry quicker, whilst not a sunny day here it is quite bright with patchy cloud and hazy skies, no rain yet either which is a boon.

Hope your all having a nice day :)

Afternoon all. :)

Went on a 10 mile walk near Thaxted this morning and I'm now enjoying a pint in Saffron Walden. :drunk:

Weather still bright here and warmish. I'm very glad to see the back of the haze too.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend. :)

Afternoon all

Made my trip into town, got a very short hair cut (that means the end of summer then) and a new DVD for the week from the library to watch (The Family), and it has been trying to rain, not normally a problem only I still had the washing out on the line, rushed back and got that in, nearly dry as well, but now all hanging up in the airier to finish.  Not seen the sun today (other than reading the paper version in the barber shop).

Might be taking a wander in a while once I have showered and spruced up a bit.

Afternoon all,

No lovely walkies for me today, I've been busy working but my weekend has just started so I intend to enjoy what's left of it and hopefully my now nice clean shiny car (thanks to Master D - it did cost me a pair of football shorts and a top though) will stay dust free !

It seems to have clouded over here and the wind picked up to what is was earlier so I think I've missed the best of the day weather wise but there is still the wine and chocolates Posted Image

Not a very nice day here in London! Cool and cloudy and to make things worse, my cat is chewing next doors potted plants to bits. Is this normal behaviour? The more I tell her to stop, the bigger the mouthful she takes. I think my relationship with my neighbour is about to go down the plug hole.

happy easter :lol::lol:

White Easter more likely then a white Christmas.. I genuinely think that holds no truth especially with Easter being much latter this year, but perhaps if them charts verified we would get something?

I never really glimpsed outside today, the air was much fresher. Have a nice saturday.. Good result, today - we have a glimpse of hope, may not be significant but there is a chance we could jump ship. Enjoy your saturday :good:

We do NOT want a white Easter, thanks very much. Although a warm, muggy and thundery one would be most welcome. The fiercer the better. ;)

Warmish and sunny would be nice - I'll have gardening to do.

Today's walk in Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park was good - didn't even need a cardie.
