Went for a hike up Galtymore yesterday, though it might be the last chance for a bit of cold and snow until next Autumn.

Here's a partial album of photos I took on along the way. http://imgur.com/a/fGui1

A few samples

Below is a link to a 360o interactive panorama I took from the top of Galtymore itself, just click on the picture when it loads (might take a little while), and then use the first symbol to go full screen. From there you can zoom in and out and have a look around!

Cheers!

It's about 918m, so a little over 3,000ft. It was about 1.0C on the summit, with ~50km/h winds giving a wind chill of nearly -8C. Felt quite pleasant in the sun though, and ended up not even using my gloves!

If it is the place I am thinking of isn't there a waterfall on one side and on a fine day you can see the sea? Never got to the top; an old ankle injury forbids this but a lovely area and great photos but fear not, I suspect there is still time for a fresh layer of snow up there before winter is out altogether.

Same spot, though the waterfall is more a series of frozen icicles!

Viewing the Celtic sea, about 50km away (I think Cork harbour is just on the left). The cold, clear air made it a great long distance vantage point.

Some high res photos from that day
