Evening peeps

What a great day weather wise it has been, looking forward to tomorrow as well.

will upload some badly taken sunset pics as well as I felt left out with the ones on here.

Well I would if the pesky (not the original words I used) phone would connect with my linux Ubuntu desktop....

...grrrrr

Morning all, I hope everyone is fit and well, another wonderful sunny morning, not a cloud in the sky, slight breeze and a heavy dew.

Lovely meal yesterday evening, fine company and a fine bottle of wine, nice that someone else drove, oh and the port was good as well. Off to see the grand kids today down in sittingbourne which will be nice. That's its today, so I hope you all have a great day.

Actually there is just a little to add, what a glorious night it was last night, nearly a full moon and a beautiful clear sky, with hundreds of stars twinkling brightly despite the light pollution, if you could have got somewhere dark, then it would have been a truly magical end to a lovely evening.

Just looking at the M2 webcam in Kent and it looks like another glorious dawn in Kent. Super jealous of the greenery. Nothing but brown here. I cant wait to see it for myself in 2 weeks. Lets hope the nice weather remains.

The skies are a glorious blue here in west London.

Don't think it's going to match yesterday's 19 °C, though.

Morning all. Posted Image

Sunny here and breezy. In some ways it's a pity that it's mid March, as cold weather is still almost inevitable between now and summer. Maybe I should be more optimistic and think that the pleasant weather potential can only increase from now.

The average central England temperature (CET) rises by about 1C every ten days now, until the early Summer, so we are in the rapidly warming phase. Winter has passed, even if the potential for wintry weather hasn't. Posted Image

I think I might go for an outdoor pint at lunchtime, even if I had too many yesterday. Posted Image

Have a relaxed day everyone, if you are able to. Posted Image

I think a 'thumbs up' is in order for Captain Shortwave, who always posts rational and unbiased summaries on the Model Thread.

I know who ramps there and can see through the biased postings, but I know others won't easily be able to.

Voices of sanity there, such as his and Tamara's (when she posted there) are very much to be commended and actually make the thread worth reading. :)

Morning,

Proper blue skies today with warm bright sunshine

12.6C going to be a warm day, is this really March? I hear out in FI there is potential for much colder weather.

I reckon winter is not done with us yet, there must be some sort of balance.. March is usually on the transition from Winter to Spring some heavy frosts would do. What ever the weather, have a nice day :good:

Morning all,

Another dry, bright and sunny day forming here, not been out yet, even managed to bag an extra hour in bed, but by 06:30 was fully awake, no idea why, just routine I guess.  Anyway, may not make it to the lakes today, plans have altered slightly for today, nothing wrong, just the day is takinf a different direction, but the plan is still to get out and partake in some of that sunshine (and a stroll through the local park will be included as well on the way tot he next village later this afternoon).

What ever you are doing today, I hope it is a fine and enjoyable day for you all :)

Chin up Tamara, you've a lot of friends on the forum so don't let the gremlins/buggers get you down Posted Image

Out here on the Marlborough Downs (extreme west of the region, but I'm one of those lost souls who is stuck geographically between 2 regions)

Well I am right on the far NW cusp of this region and the next as well, always see myself as EA though, grew up that way and never saw myself as Midlands based (anyway Look East covers here so must be right), and I was born in WGC and from London Colney, how more home grown could I be?

Tams, hope your problems are gone soon, we are all here for you Posted Image

Morning, slightly hungover and currently residing back in the triangle (of sun for once). Another lovely day on the cards.

Thanks Steve by the way. I personally want to move on from this winter and frankly getting exciting over charts showing cool and wet conditions doesn't exactly do it for me. I hope we see improvement to a proper winter blast or some spring warmth rather than a return to what we saw all winter. Anyway hope everyone enjoys this fine Spring day (two fantastic weekends on the bounce weather wise).

Mornin each. Another lovely, sunny day here. Sky is blue and just a fairly brisk breeze.

I'm so sorry to hear of LGF's cats and Tamara's upsets. I remember the acute heartache of losing my Oscar just two weeks after joining NW. Even after nearly two years...I still feel an ache and cry for him. Time doesn't heal IMO.. you just learn to cope with it better. My thoughts are with you, LGF.

And Tamara. ..I hope things begin to be better for you soon. My very best wishes to you.

Ah well...back to painting. Have a good day, folks and enjoy the sunshine. :)

A beautiful sunny day :-)

Boffins at Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany, say there is a 75 per cent chance that this summer will be a scorcher, with Britain set for an El Niño weather pattern,

That means waters on the Pacific equator rise higher than usual, leading to hotter temperatures here. It is even possible 2003’s record of 38.5C in Faversham, Kent, may fall.

What a lovely afternoon here, and yet again it looks like the 20C mark is being broken in the region with Lydd airport in Kent supposedly at 20C right now and I'm sure more places will join it with a couple of hours until the maximum temperature is reached.

17C and completely clear here in Great Yarmouth

Yes, there is a vote up button now. I think I preferred the old system.

Off out now too, to enjoy today. Posted Image

Close, but no cigar, thought I would get 20c here today but it's 19.1c. I wonder what it was this time last year? Still a lovely day, although the unsettled weather is suppose to return come Thursday. Better get sunbathing!
