Issued at - 12 Mar 2014, 15:41Valid from - 13 Mar 2014, 02:00Valid to - 13 Mar 2014, 10:15Fog patches are expected to form overnight onwards into early Thursday morning, becoming dense in places with visibility below 200 metres at times. The public should be aware of the potential for some difficult driving conditions and disruption to travel, particularly during the morning rush hour.

UK Outlook for Monday 17 Mar 2014 to Wednesday 26 Mar 2014: FROM MET

Through the start of the week central, southern and eastern parts will remain dry with variable amounts of cloud. Away from here conditions will be cloudier with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Windy towards the north, with scope for some heavier and more persistent rain over northwest Scotland. Mild by night then, daytime temperatures will be warm in any sunshine but nearer average under cloud. During the middle of next week conditions are expected to turn more generally unsettled, though rainfall totals in the south should be relatively low, before colder conditions briefly follow, perhaps bringing some wintry showers to the north and northeast and some colder nights. For the last part of this forecast period, the most likely scenario is for gradually more settled conditions to return.

Updated: 1213 on Wed 12 Mar 2014

UK Outlook for Thursday 27 Mar 2014 to Thursday 10 Apr 2014:

Current indications suggest fairly typical weather patterns for late March into early April. This brings a changeable mix of weather and a cold feel at times. As such, some spells of wet and windy weather can be expected at times, these most frequent in the north and west, where hill snow is likely too. There is currently little signal for any disruptive weather across the south, with some dry and sunny interludes at times. Temperatures are likely to often be around average for the time of year, though northern parts may be colder at times. Nights, meanwhile, are likely to be frosty at times.

Well I am on the road just before first light, so fully expect (like this morning) for it to be foggy then.

Good evening friends,

Now isn't this the most glorious weather? Been gardening like mad but have ended up shuffling around as I ended up hurting my back. Such a fool!

Lovely to see it's set to continue for a good while too.

Enjoy the sunshine peeps Posted Image

Hello Mr. Pike,

Yes I'm fairly well at the moment thank you apart from my stupid back. Hope all is good in your world Posted Image .

Just been back reading, and BB, like you, I would give anything to be able to return to work and I think that is the hardest part to accept, that your brain is able but your body isn't. But as you say, life goes on and we muddle through. Take care

Jan I did my back in the other day turning the compost heap, I look forward to potting on my tomatoes at the weekend, not as dangerous! Hope your back recovers quickly.

It was a lovely day today until the alternator went on hubby's van so guess who's got an early morning drive in the fog (thanks for the heads up JP) tomorrow morning. Thinking on it, he can drive in and I'll drive my car home via Sainsburys then the fog will have lifted a bit I hope.

The warm days have the forget-me-nots out early in my garden, looks very spring like with the daffs. Much nicer than the snow on the ground this time last year.

Lovely day in London, too, once the stratus had cleared by mid-morning. Max temp would have been about 16°C.

Oh well, my slight cold is turning into man flu. Posted Image My face is so flushed, it looks like I've either been on a major booze session, or have been sunburned.

I think I'll have an early night, as tv football is not filling me with enthusiasm. Hopefully I'll be okay in the morning; actually I feel better than I did an hour or two ago.

Catch you in the morning. :)

Honey and lemon drinks, works wonders, especially on man flu Posted Image

Weather note: Wouldn't it be lovely if the summers were warm enough to grow lemons.

Evening all

hope all the bad backs and reports of manflu end well and soon.  some Co-irkers yesterday had beastly coughs in the orifice, only consulation we gave them was banishment elsewhere so we did not succumb (one called in sick today thank deity, her bark was rather grusome yesterday).

No fog here yet, sure it is on its way though, still seems mild though, not complaining at all, more I say, more!
