Morning all, hope everyone is well. The rain has passed and its looks fairly dry out, sky looks clear and a very dark blacky blue, with just a touch of lightness creeping in.

Off to work today, with a horrendous amount of work to be undertaken, which I suppose is good as it will all help to the expense I am now committed to, after the europhoria comes the reality :-)

Have a great day.

Morning all!  It's bright and clear here today although a tad chilly with temps at 3.3c.  The rain is beginning to dry up, ready for the next lot I suppose.

I don't have anything exciting planned today except a pile of ironing, and I'll probably watch TV at the same time, so no big chore really.  The biggest decision will be what to watch.

Hope you all have a good day, whatever you are doing. :)

Seeing as the snow cup was a draw do we all get a prize?

Mornin each. Clear and dry after rain last night, and wind has dropped. Patches of blue appearing to the South. Hope it stays dry as we're starting the move today.

Have a good day, everyone, :)

Morning all, marvellous clear blue sky with just a touch of frost here in MK this morning –  there is still a risk of some ice on untreated surfaces so be careful out there !!

Yellow Warning of Ice for London & South East England :

Oxfordshire & West Berkshire

Valid to 0900 Mon 03 Mar

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?regionName=se&from=rss&sn=143BB24F-2575-B9E0-C9F1-8256D7A2AAC7_5_SE&tab=warnings&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1393804800

Low pressure is tracking very close to Southern England through the course of today bringing with it the increasing risk of heavy showers, these will merge in spiralling bands of more organised heavy rain at times.

There is a slight risk of thunderstorms today but the main risk will be the heavy and potentially torrential rain that will fall during these showers which after the recent very wet weather and the high water table will cause surface water flooding.

Have a lovely Monday Posted Image

For some of our members down that way the EA have issued a warning for high tides and waves on the South Coast between Fairlight and Dungeness, and also for the tidal stretches of the River Rother, particularly Rye Harbour.

Take care and have a good day.

Morning all

After a wet and wild evening/night it has changed into a wonderful dry, calm and very sunny day here, should make the walk later all the more pleasant.

CM I did my ironing last night (whilst watching Countryfile) so apart from the trip to the Post Office this morning, my day is free, might use the time productively with an hour or sorting/tidying (more for the sake of it then needed).

Have a nice day one and all :)

Thought the sun had gone in, nope was just a whacking great big van pulled up out front of the house.

Looking at the temps and it does seem like by the end of the week it looks to turn somewhat milder, good for me as I can really limit the storage heaters then (they are only background warmth as it is), already in credit on the electric too.

Breakfast weather was ramping the chances of storms for London area today. Surprised to see no mention of it on here though. It's certainly gone a bit dark in town over the last 15mins or so

Saw that on the BBC Breakfast news too, not expecting it here as the local Look East one did not mention it, South coast may see some action though.

Not weather related (sorry AJ)

Quite impressed with myself, since I became single again I went into a depressed and student style life, have pulled it all back and organised my life and my home, even just finished putting all the clothes (socks etc included) into their correct homes and places, lounge was already done, along with the kitchen, bedroom now the same, bathroom already done, anyway you get the idea, the home is tidy and respectful again and I have worked hard this year to make a fresh start.  And here I am, open for business.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming.
