Cyclonic, sorry to hear you have been unwell but good to hear you are getting better - hopefully this recent sunshine will also help!

Continuing the theme with the ECMWF next weekend still looks unsettled with a trough over the UK and NW PM air prevailing. Then the high strengthening from the SW at the beginning of next week. Of course this all speculation so the seaweed may be a better option.

Another glorious day here in the far east of the region, unofficial shade temp of 20C here with unbroken sunshine....Had a cracking bbq and the beer was flowing, I even managed to get sunburnt!.......There was some cloudcover after dark, but it's clear again now......Tomorrow though looks a more cloudier affair for the bulk of the region though still mild with max temps around 16C for eastern districts where cloud may break more readily, 11-14C for the rest of the region

By the end of the week it looks like we are well into unstable rPM air with a cold front on Thursday bringing some more prolonged wet conditions. Wind perhaps veering more NW over the weekend but still showery with the Azores high nudging in by Tuesday. Temps about average.

Glorious day yesterday in Warminster, back to Mrach reality today and which the weeks forecast from last night. Easy to think the spring is more advanced than it is when you get days like that. Lots of time cleaning the greenhouse, gardening, walk in the country. The giveaway is the fact it gets dark so early and the temp drops sharply.

Chatting to some old locals here the other night they said never rule out the chance of snow in March and blow and behold snow is forecast for princetown into the weekend.

My neighbours who live half of the year in Spain are back. He is moaning that it's cold! It's 15c and has been sunny. I told him they should have been here from mid December until 2 weeks ago!!

I complained of it being cold when I came back to Britain on April 4th, but I had reason to - it was 2C and flurrying with snow!

Those of you who know the A350 between Melksham and Warminster will know there are 2 sets of traffic lights at Steeple Ashton then West Ashton. At around 11.15-11.30 I sat at both those sets of lights with rain pouring down necessitating fast speed wipers. Reviewing the radar suggests I caught the most 'potent' part of the front as it crossed this area and a home the ground was bone dry when I got here - although the radar does show drizzle occurred.

Before and after the narrow front it's been a really fine day with sunny spells and a fresh, blustery SW now W wind.
