I hope you are right Lassie, I'd be happy with anything mild and dry !

I hope the little bird is right too, the little bird added that March will be a mild dry month and it will feel spring like.

Well the Spinal Tap vile weather dial has been turned up to 11 today. Just the worst. Thank God they invented cars and Wellington boots.

Thank you so much guys, I rang up CAB and he said ring them because I probably wont have to pay it and turns out since I am not actually living there I am exempt from paying council tax on the property because the rest of the house occupants are students!I really appreciate the help, I am now feeling light ass a cloud. You would have thought the clouds would be feeling lighter after the amount of rain they have been putting down recently., apparently they had a few thousand metric tons more than a few pounds to shed.

Great news!

Rain has stopped here now and I think it may be, not an overcoat, but at least a liberty bodice, warmer. :D

Have a wonderful evening all whatever you are doing.

Not been out so no idea if it is cold now (forecast was yes though) and I have no reason to go out either so will not know until tomorrow :)

I did go out but that was still during daylight just after the rain stopped and that was hours ago.

Furious with husband. We have this lovely little wood-burner stove and usually get the wood from a tried and trusted supplier's estate in August (cost of a really big truck load £250 + £12 delivery and it lasts about 2 winters).

This year, my husband thought he'd save a few quid and asked some farmer to bring a truck load over..., we got about 1/2 the amount of wood and it's turned out not to be seasoned, so doesn't burn properly.- this cost £200. So won't be any good until next year - meanwhile, we've got no wood which burns.

There are a few big trees which have either broken off or have to come down as soon as the weather dries up, so they'd have seasoned for the next couple of winters anyway... KNEW he was making a mistake.
