Not convinced we will even get any wet snow tomorrow, but we are hopefully in the right place to get it if there is any...Currently 5.0c, but dropping quite quickly

Well I have just been locked out of the house due to my eldest daughter borrowing my keys this morning, didn't feel too bad out there although sometimes that's how it feels before the snow.  I have a temp of 5.9c here with very little wind.

I await the up date for our very own Mr Fish of the SE regional thread JPPosted Image

Thanks AJ for cleaning the the thread if you have any spare time there is a house and a couple of cars requiring the same, plus the Snow Depth shop which may have a customer or too, note sure if they will have a delivery tonight as we are very busy overseas in the USA at the momentPosted Image

I see the Daily Mail is talking of inches of snow chaos tomorrow.

Which of course can be translated to rain and a bit of snizzle if we're lucky.

Evening all, reasonable day with just a few showers and light winds.

Winter looks set to end in predictable style, persistent steady to heavy rain all day. :(

Not sure what happened earlier but glad I missed it and ajpoolshark sorted it out, looks like it upset a few people. The weather has been dry since this mornings rain here, which is good, not looking forward to tonight's and tomorrows rain.

So is anyone even going to bother lamppost watching ?

I really cannot see what all the hype in the press is about but then we all know forecasting snow can be a very delicate issue and it can easily fool the best forecasters at times. I certainly don't expect to see much by way of snow here so no ramping from me ....

I'm not going to bother lamppost watching... I'll just have to find something more productive to do....like sleep! I wonder how much time I've wasted over the years watching a bright orange light :D

Temp's dropped by over 8'C since mid afternoon to 5.3'C now. The forecast is 3'C and bone dry. Looks nasty heading in towards the channel at the moment on the old radar!

Depending on the amount of rain tomorrow I might venture onto the garden this weekend to lower my weather station a bit as since I moved it up higher on a pole it shakes in strong winds and produces rain readings even when dry (it's reported 44cm of rain just in Feb :D ), but the bog of a garden has been a no go zone this year!

I really am at the point this winter where I do not want snow - and I never thought I'd say that. Sunshine and warmth are what we all need now. The plants and the birds all think it's spring and I'd hate to disillusion them!
