How do you do a Partial Quote in a post?

How do I do a 'partial quote' a snippet from a previous post on iPad please? It seems silly to quote a whole post, especially if it's a lengthy one when you just want to refer to a sentence or two.

Hi I just checked on my ipad, as I have been struggling with the same thing. I found if you press/hold over the text in question and highlight in blue and then delete the bits you don't want, but keeping the [ quote name=Keraunophile" post="2936890" timestamp="1393007970]bit at the beginning of the quote and the [/quote ] bit at the end! you will only post the text in between.Hope that's helpful and makes sense! I had to remove the spaces between the beginning [ and the end ] quote mark as it was showing as a quote! All the best.
