I can officially say it's been a beaut of a day here in leicester!!unbroken sunshine and temps nearly scraping 25 degrees and rain no where to be seen!! And also the flying ants are in business around here!!just goes to show how warm and muggy its been!

To add to all the delighted sun lovers...it's been glorious her too.  A bit of cloud floating about, but none to cover the sun so far, and 26°C reached here too.

we were the western edge of the high cloud all day!!threatened to come over at around 2pm but then burned back readily towards the east again!

Interesting cloud formations now the cloud from the Warm Front has finally arrived after a very warm and mostly sunny morning.

Temperatures would be surpressed said Mr Parkin. Not here they aren't! 24.4°C with sunny spells still holding on- feeling quite humid though.

Reached 24.8c here which is the warmest day so far this month.

 

Sunny intervals generally amongst some decent sized cumulus, towards the end of the afternoon a couple quite large areas of dark based cloud.

Another very decent day, glorious to start, with largely clear skies, some "infill" cloud" during the late morning with some sunny intervals, but more in the way of sunny spells this afternoon and evening. Another one of those days with largely clear blue skies over the beach, pity it 's not forecast to be like that tomorrow, when not working.

 

Pretty warm in the sun (even this evening) as well with temps of low 20s, local station hit close to 24c today.

An absolute stunning Morning here, Deep blue sky's with hardly any wind. Temp already 20.2c.

Early this morning a decent start with some sunny intervals however thick cloud has already pushed in from the west. So those lucky enough to be in the sunshine, make of the most of it, as this is edging eastwards.

 

A little frustrating in a way as this week so far has seen good sunshine totals. Then come Saturday.

Sky turning milky here after a clear blue start — some ominous looking clouds appearing above the western horizon. Still wonderfully warm with a gentle breeze though. Forecast a 90% chance of heavy rain here this evening, so we shall see ...
