What a dreadful evening, SO dark had to turn the lights on, more like mid January if it wasn't for the warmth.

You must sit in the dark for around 4 hrs then in January!

If it were mid Jan...I'd be sunbathing :)

Almost a repeat of yesterday this morning, although the low cloud is nearer and some patches are moving overhead with sunshine in between, much clearer to the S/SE . Pretty windy from the SW and muggy at 16.5c .

Hoping to get 3 loads of washing dry in the wind/sunny spells before rain turns up later, the latest forecast shows a wave running along the Cold Front overnight which will give a lot of rain to some parts and may delay the clearance tomorrow.

A cool feel to morning again, Temp 14.4c, S/S/W 8mph Gusting 24mph, Cloudy and breezy. A band of rain or showers should move S/E reaching here by mid-afternoon.

Rain now incoming..nuisance or necessary? all down to personal preference - hopefully the main area clears through overnight or first thing tomorrow, although some showers never far away, it should feel pleasant enough in any sunshine. Hasen't been a bad spell of Summer weather this, nothing exceptional indeed close to or just a notch above average.Usable indeed :)

It depends, I think the rain is necessary if it's at least moderate most of the time which currently looks doubtful but if it was just drizzly then yes it would be a nuisance.

Quite a messy fax chart. Frontal rain arriving this evening here, then another batch of rain in the early hours.

Rainfall totals will be varied but if you get lucky, or unlucky- whichever way you want to look at it, you may exceed 10mm from heavy drizzle or a heavier burst or two of rain.

I'd expect many outdoor events are hoping for a dry slot. I'm sure there's always a plan B anyway, or at least there should be :)

Plan B sounds good to me, it's good indoors sometimes     Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image:laugh:

I definitely think band 2 will be more varied than this one about to hit from the W.

Very similar here P.M. A brief light shower in the last half hour and a maximum gust of 30 mph. Feeling quite warm though with a current temp', according to the Davis, of 17.8c.

Last night was the mildest of the year so far at 15.9c, then a cloudy breezy day here today,  the odd bit of brightness and blue sky. Max temp 19.8c, currently 17.2c with bits of drizzly rain.

Yesterday was a lovely day, max 23.3c after a cool min of 7.4c here though Exeter Airport recorded 24.9c. Spent the afternoon on a local beach, and sea wasn't too cold either.

The SE has had a couple very warm days though there's nothing too unusual about this set up.

It's been trying to rain for about an hour, not very successfully. Feels really humid and depressingly grey again. And it's still sunny in the bloody southeast!

Now now...don't be like that. You get outside and under them there grey wet and windy skies and like it!It's July dontcha know. What else were you expecting? Sunshine? Edited by Carl46Wrexham

Good old July, humid and rainy around 17c and I see tomorrow's now changed from mostly sunny back to heavy showers again *sigh*.

This is the only time I hate Dartmoor for it's massive rain shadow effect.
