Yes a dreadful forecast by the BBC, I thought today wouldn't bring much rain just lots of cloud around, I feel the plume will bring similar weather, cloudy and very humid but not much in the way of exciting thunderstorms, not for us in the midlands anyway, SE'ers might be more lucky.

May even find the plume misses the west midlands? models seem to be slowly trending towards wetter cooler fri-sun period, with max only around 21C, Atlantic air seems to be in charge here

No sign of any thunder though, surprisingly enough.

It seems the incorruptible Shropshire Storm Shield is up to its usual rotten tricks again!

Slow moving showers for today, not so much for West Wales or the N/W Midlands though.

Atm the od glimpse is trying to show through but its mainly here cloudy, 14.9c.

Strong sea breezes developing on the S coast now. Could produce some convergence if I'm lucky.

Hmmm, the sky to our SW has suddenly gone very dark and stormy looking.

Raintoday shows an area of ppn bubbling up from the direction of Worcester.

Just had a short moderate rain shower which was enough to wet the ground.

Just had another shower, exactly the same time as yesterday's kicked off. The annoying thing is that when the sun came out earlier it was actually very nice, but all too briefly. Cloudy, humid muggy dross with no thunder is as tedious as cloudy cold North Sea clag. Especially since I know there's hot weather waiting to come out and maybe spark off some storms, if only the damn cloud would get lost......

A lot of rain to come tonight, could be some torrential downpours mixed in; could be 20 - 25mm by tomorrow afternoon in a few places.
