There is a strange yellow object in the sky any idea what it is?...... lol!

Can you give a bit of a more detailed description? Seen nowt but cloud of differing degrees of greyness and rain for a couple of days now.

Bright echoes on radar with lightning just to my south,sky darkening with really black clouds in that direction.

Looks like heading this way from Coventry area.

Well its really bright and kind of makes you feel warm. But that's all I can say on the object because it keeps going behind clouds....

Thunderstorm has just done a direct hit on us here in Bedworth and Coventry, with hail and torrential rain :-D  yay!!!

Yup got it now CH.Thunder, lightning, heavy rain and blustery winds.

Just looking at radar the worst has just passed now,as you said short and sharp.

Looks like a convective band with T+L has developed in the last hour or so,now stretching ne from around Worcester through Brum and into Staffs and Leics.moving north west at the moment.
