Even this far west we seem to be back in the warm humid air with the sun breaking through, not really expecting much here though today.

Currently 21.8c/ DP 17.9c

thundering here now.....just walked up to the village shop to get some smokes and it feels like the tropics out there!....the airbase weather station is showing an air temp of 21.7C with 19.9C dew points...no wonder!....the atmosphere is sooo ripe!

After a mostly dry overnight period, missing out on the fun and games further east, a short sharp shower here, enough to wet the ground in 10 minutes. even though the thermometer would only says 19c (or so) it does feel really humid, however seeing as the dewpoint is 17c, might have something to do with that.

Have strolled over to the shops seeing as I can't get no sleep to be met with torrential rain, lots of heavy thunder and big flashes and that most most frequent of Bristol storm occurrences - people standing in doorways rather than the copious amounts of cover elsewhere!

let down here, since 6am its just been standard steady rain, was this forecast? cos I thought thundery start until 9am ish, then dry/sunny until around 4pm, then convective thundery showers

not sure I will see any storms now, as convection limited with all this cloud

Are these still mid-level thunder clouds in the SW as they look to be heading north this way later this afternoon,I presume they are but, I can`t see a thing here with all the low cloud about although looks like it could start to break.

The Bristol shield has well and truly been breached, no doubt the engineers are working on the problem and will have services back to normal within the next 36 hours.

For the time being I'm enjoying it!

Still raining here, but the skies to the south seem to be a bit brighter. Fingers crossed, we'll see some sunshine by mid-afternoon.

Sunny at Lord's now.

Can hear very faint rumbles but once again everything is just a tad too far east. When will there be a direct hit! They're supposed to moving NWwards not straight north!

Maybe as they head further north they`ll veer slightly west, but look to be movin north yet.

Sometimes I can feel a cooler breeze come through the window then humidity climbs again what is that? Am I on the downdraft side of things?
