The skies to our east (Coventry direction) look incredibly stormy.

The monsoon rain has returned here.

Rain and thunder stopped here. Sun trying to break through. Feels very hot even though the temp is only about 20C.

I'm not sure this will get quite as far east as Hinckley, unfortunately, but I can see a fair distance south west from my bedroom window so I should at least see some action in the distance. The sky is getting very dark in that direction now.

Main activity just south of Coventry looks like its on course for Nuneaton area next....sorry Brummies but then you lot had el Brumo a couple of years back.

Sporadic strikes further west towards the Shropshire and the Welsh Marches.

I might hear thunder today after all. Way hey.

It's taken until about half an hour ago for the sun to break through here after a cloudy morning with continuous rain which was briefly heavy.

Here's hoping that the line of storms currently moving out of the West Midlands has the common sense and decency to head in this direction.

Lovely booming thunder here right now, and a great light show out east - Coventry must be getting slammed at the moment.

Interestingly, I can see plenty of blue sky moving in from the SW - still enough time for a late afternoon temperature spike?

More forming M4 corridor? Would be nice just before nightfall eh.

Indeed TX1, a few other spits & sparks brewing up down south :)

Have you seen much in your neck of the wood so far?

This is going to just miss Hinckley but I have a fantastic view of it. Could be spectacular.

No Hinckley is next!

The worst seems to have passed just west of here, but could see and hear everything (this thing is flashing and rumbling constantly as it makes its way up the west of Leicestershire) and were on the end of some real torrential rain and strong winds.
