Good luck all! Looks like here came pretty close to something in the end with a storm trundling just east of Truro a couple of hours ago! Cold Front will pass by in the next couple of hours but doubt anything will form this close to the front now. However some instability off the Atlantic will reach west Cornwall tomorrow so a low chance of something late on Saturday. :)

Could do with regional threads back as they were now, looks a stormy few days, SW, Wales. West midlands and E Midlands as 4 threads

No!

In fact I really hope this format stays in to the Winter (perhaps unless it will get exceptionally busy for bigger events). I think this is a very friendly regional and a perfect combination.

A very interesting looking storm over Northern France (radar image from 00:05am). It had really better come here, but that guy should ensure our fellow Whelsh people and our fellow South-Westerners get a rather intense storm like that too (if it's still not too late for them).

Ugh guys I'm really not looking forward to this at all. Can anyone shed some light on how bad you think Brean may be hit because I'm in my caravan and I hate it.

Also does anyone know if there's a big risk of tornados in this kind of weather? :(

Current temp: 17 degrees

Feeling muggy but no rain or wind at all. Looks pretty cloudy in the sky but can't tell too much.

Hello, it's 3:47am, i am awake

It's really kicking off out there, in the channel

I've seen lightning to my south-south-east from here in North Devon

It waited until late, but stuff is happening now

Storm just through here, no hail but heavy rain on it's tail end. Sheet lightning only.

I must say, this is crazy lightning!! Maybe a strike every 10 second or so?! All looks like sheet from my room mind, but still a very impressive strike rate!!

Keep hearing rumbles, no lightening. Oh there goes another one!

Only had a slight scatty shower during the night which is good but I know it's all to come now.

Getting lightening extremely often now as I'm typing!

Torrential rain here now, thunder still rumbling around, but at times its barely audible over the noise of the rain on the roof.

Pretty much perfect path for me. I'm very happy. :)

Though I didn't see much in the way of forked lightning, but(!) it was lightning nevertheless. :)

Thunder still rumbling away in the distance, still raining moderately. It must have passed, the birds are singing.

The thunder wasn't as bad here as I first thought it would be, indeed at times, as stated in an earlier post, you could hardly hear it over the sound of the rain on the house roof.

It's starting to pass over now.

Moved pretty slow and the wind is still up slightly.

I was panicking for a minute then thinking please no rotation no rotation lol.

I really am a scardey cat.

Still raining but not as heavy.

Been one of the livest storms I've seen in years.
