Your right conor! Storms either fizzle out before get here then go boom as soon as they have passed or bounce of the Shropshire storm shield and go west or east lol!!

Last decent show, was it around January 25th LOL. Meanwhile in Lincolnshire....

Wasn't that the nasty squall line that passed through on the Saturday pm?

Well we ended up with 4 or 5 claps of thunder and some elevated lightning, it's been more like thundery rain than a storm sadly. Looks like the radar is dying down now too. So I suspect that's that.

Had dark clouds over brean most of the day. A nice thunderstorm around 1pm.

Wouldn't be surprised if there's another storm considering this pic I've just taken!

Quieter over SE Wales now.

It's been a great week for storms, I think most parts of Wales have seen some now!

Look at that! It gave us some hail and some heavy rain and that was it, no thunder or lightning. But it's burst back into life near....

.....wait for it....

....(drum roll)....

TELFORD!

Congratulations! You guys deserve it!

It passed just south of Broseley Gord... had a load of heavy rain, it only let off a few sferics once it got a few miles the other side. A very near miss at the most.

Please do be careful on the roads this afternoon...Police have closed off several roads, including this - Lowther Road in the Cathays, Cardiff - after a VW van got stuck in flood under a railway bridge.Yellow flood warnings remain in place across South WalesLatest pics and updates here...http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/wales-floods-torrential-rain-storms-7158603

Well I think Malvern has a storm shield. We had around 10mm rain in total, sun's out again now. No T&L. Nothing! Storms see the Malverns and the Malverns say 'keep moving, nothing to see here' and they toddle off northeastwards. :wallbash:

Looks pretty good Rugeley way, sudden storm materialised there. Rumbles here all due southwest, developing as it pushes slowly away. No surprise.Hang on, is it going to pep up again?http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=enSferics confirmed, may see a few more surprises yet.

It did go dark all of a sudden and the rain intensity increased but nothing came out of the sky bar rain sadly!

Cell just sprouted out of nowhere around Worcester and it looks good, just shows conditions are still ripe.

Heavy rain here for the last hour leaving 6.7mm so far today, including this mornings early showers. Plenty more showers to come looking at the Radar, as this system spins North this evening, Nothing convective as of yet here.

Temp Currently 9.8c N/W 14mph.

Isn't that a bit like watching a match and hoping they don't score :)

Yeah, strange aint it! Copied my nan when I was 2, she put her fingers in her ears during a storm in '76 so I've been told. Now just listen to music on headphones instead.
