The morning so far has been mainly cloudy with light showers, very windy with near gale force southerly gusts. A mostly cloudy day followed with sharp and blustery showers, brief sunny spells, windy. The evening saw more broken cloud and becoming much less windy.

Blustery showers of rain, sleet and small hail continued into the early hours before dying out; the wind decreased considerably once the showers had cleared.

Currently it's dry and sunny with a SW breeze.

Clear periods with an air frost last night, light SW breeze.

Lovely sunny day, this became rather hazy afternoon. Moderate SW breeze. Quite mild.

A dry day with sunny periods this morning and sunny intervals this afternoon. The sheet of Sc which developed during the early afternoon largely dispersed after 1600 but by this time the first signs of Cs and Ci  were visible to the west.

The strong SW wind early this morning decreasing to moderate or fresh by mid -morning and to light by afternoon.

Yes a really lovel day in the Peak, Little Longstone-Monsal-Ashfor  but oh the mud, perhaps the wrost I have ever experienced in the Peal District, partially offset by the waterfall just down river from the viaduct. In over 60 years in that valley I have never seen it throwing such huge quantities of water over the dam, the effect was truly spectacular.

Yesterday: stormy start with winds gusting to gale force. Sunny spells most of the day, and a short shower early afternoon. Maximum 11.0, minimum 6.9. Wind strong SW.
