Moderate to heavy rain turned lighter and more showery last night, but with continued near gale force SE winds. Further odd light shower through the early hours, with near gales continuing. The morning so far has been mainly cloudy with light showers.

Cloudy so far this morning with a strong SW/W wind and showers merging into longer spells of light-moderate rain or sleet, the sleet mainly before 1000.

A cloudy and windy morning with showers of sleet, then rain. A cloudy afternoon with showers of rain at first, merging into a longer spell of light-moderate sleet during mid-afternoon before drying up around 1600. The temperature fell to 2.5c by 1500 but recovered a little when the sleet died out.
