A cold morning with wet snow, sleet and small hail. The afternoon began with a short heavy shower of sleet and hail but from 1400 it was milder with intermittent light rain. A heavy shower of rain at 1800.

Temps may have peaked just after six. Two brief heavy showers which brought some livelier winds gusting to 45 mph. Now fairly quiet and dry again.

Clear spells and ground frost to 0400, then clouded over with increasing SE breeze.

Cloudy and windy today, the fresh to strong SE gusting severe gale force afternoon and veering SSW. Mostly light rain at times 0800 to midday,with a little sleet after which spells of rain and squally showers, heavy to very heavy at times, and became prolonged. Became mild pm.
