Hmmm, Also there side kick has posted this on another site. Lets face it James...You know "JACK".,Now your trying to avoid your complete preliminary forecast back dated 9 months ago, As we should be buried in snow and experiencing blizzards. I hope your Bank Balance is BIG ...You have some major refunds to do.

Hi Daniel,

Those are pebbled beaches that bank moves up along with the waves, the waves create the bank in fact.

As far as I know, and I might be wrong, but there's not any sandy beaches in Bognor

Pretty much correct there EML. It's all pebbles and so far this winter I dont think that pebble bank has been breached. Let's hope it stays that way.

Its definitely shingle on the Bognor cam, rather than sand.

Still just the occasional gust here...how is it for peeps east of me like Folkestone and Dover. And is Tamara under any weather yet (apart from in the mod thread)?

Evening Stun, it's certainly been gusty here, but only the odd one audible over the sound of the news on tv and we still have a Sky connection. I'm sure we'll hear a bit more before long....

Just been out to shop and it's not too bad out yet; but, as I was unlocking the front door, there was a gust and a weird roaring sound from the docks/river. I thought it was a car coming around the corner, but it wasn't. Very odd.

New Max Gust here 65 Mph.

Beginning to feel a bit more like a storm now, pretty close to the XMas Eve storm in fact.

I doubt we'll go over 70 Mph here though, so once again Met Office look to have got this spot on

Alixandra where abouts are you? I'm in Mile oak ,it's def getting windier ,I had new double glazed windows in august ,I reckon that's the Problem lol x

Ha Ha,

I remember you now from last winter.

We're both in Mile Oak !! :-)

Yes I just went out along Mile Oak road for a quick dog walk and it has picked up a lot, it's worse out there than it sounds oddly enough.

But no worse than we have seen over the past 3-4 months. ...Yet !!

They were sandy beaches in Bognor and are sandy below the pebbles that were put there at least 20 years ago as sea defence. Having said that my kids, were there 2 days ago and said under the pier the sand had been stripped down to the underlying clay. Not seen that for many years. Also they saw a lot of stranded starfish. Didn't even know we had starfish in the UK.

look at the pressure chart

look at the low

that will start to head north east

now look where the low pressure is then look where the high pressure is

the bit in between is where the isobars will tighten up
