Not sure what the weather has been doing in the south of the region but here near Penrith it's been mainly cloudy with a bit of sun and a bit of drizzle. Not that it's bothered me and my wee boy as we've been at Centre Parcs swimming in the hot outside spa pool :-)

Models seem to be trending colder into march,how cold and will it snow yet to be established but

at long last something wintry may be not to far away

crumberling lands of the the sound track zambriski point , which is a view point in death vally , very beautiful place especially at sunset !!.....hottest place I've ever been 40 c at midnight, and a little gorge we walked up called the artists palate because of the different coloured rocks it reaches 55 c at noon !!.... We're in the middle of a thunderstorm at the minute, very heavy rain, a few flashes of lightening, loud rumbles of thunder.Just a shame it's over 4c or we could have been looking at snow.

lucky bugger !!:).....

Would have preferred snow or even dry, sunny and warm but I'll take a bit of a thunderstorm over torrential drizzle I suppose.Anyway it looks like it's decided to move over the tops into Yorkshire now but the temperature has dropped back to 3.5 c as it cleared.

Looks like it was a narrow but quite lively band of showers which gave us our surprise thunderstorm but I'd imagine that's it now, so dare I say it, a bit of frost may be on the cards later.

According to my other half it was hailstoning quite badly in the night and according to my mum when she woke early morning she said there was snow on top of the car!! Bummer, i just happen to be asleep and miss it drat!
