Beautiful morning and yesterday's nagging wind has gone so it looks like a decent pre breakfast walk is on the cards.

Me and my big mouth. No sooner had I set foot out of the door and clear sunny skies were replaced by cloud and it was damn cold on the tops. The cloud is still hanging about around here so it looks like a day that promised so much looks set to deliver so little.Anyway hope my big mouth has the same effect this time around.

Yeah, completely overcast until about 3pm here yesterday and not that warm.

At least it's not just me who's stuck under cloud then.

Bright sunshine here just been for walk around town.... Greek lamb shoulder ready to go into oven.... Nice slow cook for four hours.... 16c atm.... Lovely....

Not getting my hopes up but latest gfs looks to have a sting its tail with heavy snow aka like last end of march....very much doubt itll be like that....but just probably colder again....

Just got back from chorlton sat in daughters garden 18 c and glorious sunshine , back home 12 c and cloudy what a contrast !!...

Yes it brightened up nicely in the end down here. The rest of the week isn't looking to bad either but an easterly flow will mean that the temperatures seen today are unlikely to be repeated although I'd be happy with a few days of dry after the last few months.

Got even duller as the day went on here! Maxed out somewhere between 16 and 17C though, so it was warm.. I'm expecting a good few sunny days this week, and if the forecasts are wrong again for these days, I won't be happy.

Just been out to the car and even though it's clear it feels nice and mild.

Certainly different from this time last year.

Lovely day! Max of 16°c. It's surprising to see 20°C reached in the south already and it's only March 9th!

Gosh a rare dry weekend, not had one since late November I think! Today turned out much better than expected with the rain held away to our NW, yes it was a largely cloudy affair, but we did see some early brightness and we have been spared low cloud, with the light winds it certainly felt very pleasant and more akin to an April day than a March day.

Daffodils nearly about to open, had we seen some sunshine no doubt they would have done today.

Rain is imminent, but this looks like the last bit of precipitation for a good few days which promise to be superb with abundant blue skies and sunshine and light winds after early frost and fog.

Lovely start to the day! Currently sunny and 7.9C. Probably max out around 14-15C should the sun not disappear like it did yesterday!

Quite a bit cooler than I thought, but still 3 more hours of heating yet, 10.5C currently.

At -1c, it was the coldest night since November at MAN airport weather station. Remarkably, both last autumn and this spring have recorded lower temps than the whole of winter. The temperature didn't drop below freezing at any time in Dec, Jan or Feb.
