Good morning. Got a bit windy here but it seems to have died down again. Not looking forwards to telling daughter hamster died in the night.. She going to be devastated.

Another wet and windy night followed by heavy rain again this morning.

Will this pattern ever end.

Anyway off to Manchester shopping, run out of excuses not to, but looking out of the window at the swollen River Irwell it might be worth going down by boat and leave the car at home.

Fed up with this weather now, same old same old..........raining AGAIN, windy AGAIN, currently 9.4c, 976hpa. Mum wants to go shopping, not for anything in particular just to go out. I guess I'll be traipsing round looking for her (she has no sense of direction) where ever we end up.

Pesky blob of cold wet crapness that's currently sat over us and doesn't look to be going anywhere fast.  Tomorrow is the 'going' out day.

Please dont quote me on this as they never sure either! But a few in the storms thread are saying that it looks like the jet stream is going to fire up again towards the end of next week when they thought all was going to be quiet.

Hope your daughters alright paul, not nice when you lose a pet.
