As bobby eluded to earlier in the thread, a lot of showers & mergers will pack in to the south and south west after the initial front passes and then the wrap around tonight, not entirely sure where the worst of that will be but the NMM shows the showers later on.

Don't pay too much attention to the exact location of those colors, the NMM is a bit out IMO.

Wow, talk about stalling.

The system is a good 6 hours behind scheduled.. Will it deepen further due to this? Will it move further north due to the lack of push from the jet?

Will be an interesting evening.

Quite gusty here,

Winds are already much stronger than what they were forecast to be, even up here, Ive had a 51mph gust, and things are very blowy out there!

Latest NMM (on Meteociel) shows gusts between 70-75mph from the south coast up to about Birmingham for around midnight ... is it time to extend those warnings further inland?Gusts over 65 mph last from 7pm tonight to 8am tomorrow for my part of the south coast!

They've already extended the warnings inland a little but only to cover more of the South-East and East Anglia, it states on the updated Met Office warning that the Amber zone now covers a wider area of the SE including Greater London where gusts of 60mph or more are likely overnight!

Princes William and Harry have been helping soldiers unload sandbags in Datchet, Berkshire. Guardian reporter Robert Booth said he stumbled upon the royal duo while covering the flooding clear-up operation.

The Guardian reported that William approached its reporter asking: "Why don't you put your notebook down and give us a hand with the sandbags?" But when Booth offered to help, he was told he was not wearing the right kind of clothing for the task.

oh my bad my mistake Posted Image

Whats currently predicted for my location at present.  We was expected get small burn around midnight.

Reading fire service from stamford in berkshire.  Would assume they can be recalled if south lincolnshire get it bad or another service will cover stamford.
