The day dawned cloudy and dry,but rain soon spread in from the west becoming heavy for a time. The rain has turned to wet snow which isn't settling, and is slowly dying out from the west.Winds are light.

rain just about dying out here as the trough edges through with the wind veering westerly, 8.0mm in my garden so maybe 30% more generally in this area and probably wet snow on the higher parts of the M18 west of here.

The first Snow of the winter on the moors overlooking Sheffield. Still a blank here though. Early morning sleet gave way to light rain before the next band of heavy rain moved in. Evaporative cooling change this back to sleet for a while before turning back to rain.
