Woke to a bit of wet snow on the cars and grass but even that has pretty much dissapeared now.

Possibly a bit more later but not very hopeful really.

I wonder if the system passing through is starting to develop a low? Intense rainfall echoes to the south for areas that don't need it. To the north, echoes are more broken.

I am not surprise I have seen no snow from this, as I said the cards seem to be well and truly stacked against wintry weather and heavily stacked for rain this season.

I hope I don't see this type of winter again for decades, it's been abysmal!

the storm is moving northwards each run, so actually, I think the south of our region will be spared, but the north of the region may not be so lucky.. that said, it's a more 'normal' storm track that way.

Very true for here. .... Probably less true in other parts of the region. I'd say it's because it's always so marginal here when a forecast front passes over. we tend to get snow when we have embedded cold and steamers form, they are never really forecast. For us on the West Coast when we look at the models and forecasts its cold we need, when models show snow its nearly always no good for here. ..I only get hopeful when they are showing ice days.

Cause the forecast did mention last night that we might wake up to snow in the early hours of tuesday.....although i habe just read the latest forecast and it does say this evening for snow.Anyway forget about that ive just been in the storm thread and we are right in the firing line along with wales and ireland for this really bad storm tomorrow, 80 to 90mph winds inland from the coasts as the track has altered from the south and shifted 100 miles north
