Can not believe this.  I have not seen or heard wind like it. Got home on the last train out of London.  No trains with Virgin. Most stations are damaged and huge amount of damage on the line.  See the big match is off in Manchester and people being told to stay out of Manchester city centre.

Emirates having a rough time landing at MAN, already tried (and gone around) twice. Manchester Airport's roof has also partly blown off one of the terminals. MCFC v Sunderland also called off.

Honestly not even that windy here, probably about 45/50 mph gusts, maybe the centre of the low is a little bit further south than it was predicted.

Less than 1hr until the Everton game kicks off, should make for a interesting match.

Wild here like everywhere else I imagine but with sleet and snow for good measure.

For once I'd say thankfully not sticking.

High pressure in the driving seat until at least the end of May

High pressure continues to dominate our weather until at least early next week, with most staying dry and fine. The warm conditions will spread north, and the highest temperatures will transfer to the west as the high moves east and eventually over Scandinavia. Read the full update here
