    Very blowy here. Crosby gusts recorded 56mph at 3pm but there have been much stronger ones here since then.

    M62 between junctions 22-23 now closed to all vehicles. Everything's blown over.

     

    Edit: Also Thelwall Viaduct shut for everything.

    First report locally of a fallen tree. Dawson lane Whittle Le Woods closed nr the A6.

    Oh thanks for that update, thats near us and my mum drives down that way, quite exposed on Dawson lane doen near buckshaw villiage

    The M6 motorway bridge over Manchester Ship canal in Cheshire closed off due to high winds.

    18.000 without power in the SW and the West midlands 8,000 are without power. Together it is 42,000 homes without power.

    M62 Greater Manchester - Strong winds on M62 Rakewood Viaduct between J21, A640 (Milnrow) and J22, A672 (Rishworth Moor). Matrix sign set to 50 mph.

    Sky news reporting over 400000 homes in Wales now without power !!!

    EDIT --- they just revised it down to 40000 :-\

    69mph recorded at Crosby now and I can well believe it. It's proper wild out there now

    The wind is really strong here now. Am sat in conservatory watching the roof panels slightly moving. Hope they dont blow off
