North West Tonight had a meaty band of snow over us @ 2-5am... Forecast originally had it in the Midlands apparently. 

Showers beginning to form overland now, rather than over the sea which is interesting, must be a lot of moisture associated with this air flow, wouldn't be surprised to see more showers forming overnight!

Interesting as my humidity and there for dew point is quite low. and yes I heard mention earlier of a band of precipitation over the Midlands overnight, will be great if it has indeed shifted in the forecast to affect us.

Just changing the subject Have you seen the price of Mobile phones with flappy bird installed on ebay £10.000 for one of them. Are people bloody mad

Unfortunatly Burnley but high up and quite exposed I havent ;)

Nowt wrong with Burnley, well Turf Moor at least.The showers you've just had must have missed us by no more than a couple of miles but that's the thing with showers, very much hit and miss.

Met Office forecast for region suggest nothing.

Yes, but the situation may have changed since that was released. You'd like to think it would get updated though.

I think the situation has changed and it is Diane Oxberry that is behind or out of date.Nothing on UKMO 12z, Euro4 or GFS 12z suggest anything.So I suspect nothing will happen. Edited by Weather-history

Unfortunately those earlier showers have now turned to sheet ice as my posterior just found out when it hit the concrete steps in my garden when I was coming down from the stables, arnica required!!
