Sun has now gone, wind is picking up again here and the grey cloud is arriving just in time for my walk to school.

I'm in Prenton CP but live close to you.  The sky was blue 10 minutes ago and now its grey and the trees are starting to blow again.  Been on other forums and loads have reported calmness and wondering why only to post again a short while later with strong winds appearing again. lol.  But yes - school run time and it picks up - typical!!

Will there likely to be any thunder and lightening with this storm? Just wondering as the amount of electrical equipment we have in our front room is crazy!! Even our sons hospital bed is plugged in and its metal !

20,000 without power in the SW and Ireland combined. Wouldn't even want to take a guess how many in the NW will be out of power tonight, but I suspect it'll be quite a few.

No telling, depends if there's a squall line associated with the trough of showers which will run through later, wait and see I guess, but with it being so unstable, it's not out of the question

There some dark clouds coming in from the west here now. I'm sure they do look like snow clouds to me.
