had a light rain sleet and snow shower about 30 minutes ago which lasted for about 10 minutes then nothing, now we've had graupel for 10 minutes.......meh

Its already 1C here and tonight's low is 3C. That is unexpected and impressive. Everything is possible I suppose from now. We may not gain the covering we gain the temperatures to drop rapidly. Which is

On my 20 min drive home it was 6c as I set off according to car temp. Got home and it was 1C.

Yes which means in passes oldham then hits the pennines! Hence it coming from the west

watch it give the north east a covering, unbelievable ppn makes it across the Pennines coming from the west but very rarely does it coming from the east, pees me reet off.

Nice white covering here - quite a surprise thought it would be a lot more sleety to start of with.  Temps were showing 4c before it hit.  Nice to see the white stuff after a shockingly miserable wet winter.
