Well, what an insane 10 minutes! We just had torrential rain, heaviest I've seen up here for years, which began turning to sleet (temp was 5.1oC, dropped to 4.0oC), and the rainwater running down the street became rivulets in the sleety bits. Was all over after 5 or so minutes, then we've just had huge wet snowflakes falling, temp is now 3.0oC. Just spoke to my MIL in Shrewsbury and she said they were having heavy snow!

Heavy snow in Telford reported 10 minutes ago by my other half there!(I'm in Edinburgh, but haven't seen any snow in two years now, sob, sob - now even Telford is out-snowing us!)

All hill tops around me are white — I'm at 100m, so I'd guess that the snow line is no higher than 200m.

Wow heavy rain in Brum city centre suddenly turned to snow! The cold air must have mixed in very quickly . It's almost blizzard like now! :)
