Big flakes falling here, way to wet for it to settle though. Anybody tell me if its settling up towards Matlock?

Yes just started sticking here on the grass and cars etc....if it continues at this rate i suspect it will settle on the roads etc...

All but stopped now, you'd think any heavy showers later on will be of snow? Especially around the Black country/Birmingham

Birmingham city centre, cars covered and roads slushy but covering, can clearly see tyre tracks, and still coming down heavily

Snowing here in Redditch but not sticking yet. Is it supposed to last ?  Have an appointment lunchtime - typical .

It must be snowing - Mr Benn's here! It's been too quiet without you.... :)Finally a few falling flakes to watch, but don't think it's going to be more than a passing moment today.

Just starting to settle here now, rain forecast untill midday so if it all falls as snow we could be in for a decent covering

A spell of snow overnight for midlands I believe, so potentially could wake to a cm or two? Either way I have a covering now so at least we haven't achieved the terrible milestone of zero snow cover all winter, which we did manage a couple of times in the late 80s and 90s.

The changeover is quite sudden and rapid Shaky think it should be hitting Leicester imminently.

About 30 minutes, light slushy looking covering, struggling on roads and pavements to settle.
