A windy day with sunny intervals and light showers.  Maximum 8.8, minimum 5.8.  Wind strong SW, with occasional gale force gusts.

Yesterday: dry with sunny spells, rain after dark.  Breezy.  Maximum 9.0, minimum 4.1. Wind moderate SW.

The Thames towpath between Reading and Caversham bridges is now flooded for the second time this year, and the water is rising faster than last time.  According to the Environment Agency the predicted peak isn't until the middle of next week and is likely to be similar to the floods of January 2003 where a small number of houses in Lower Caversham flooded.

Well yet another storm that has failed to materialise. Funny sort of day winds forecast to be from the south which meant zero chance of anything windy for us. However the winds were more from the south south west and quite lively earlier on.  However we never pushed on from that and the max gust was 47 mph so no storm here. A dry day until around four when light rain to mod rain moved into the area. Temps above normal so not a cold day.

Max temp 7.8C

Barometer 964mb rising

Wind F5 SSW

Rainfall 9.8mm
