Anyone else notice this pic which appeared on the BBC Storm page which was taken at Chiswell bay in Dorset last saturday

Odd that I managed to escape with my life then as I was drinking at the pub that day. Don't you just love photoshop !

Lol. Not 12 hours no, but as above, your looking prime for a possible covering.

I think it is genuine, it's a slight optical illusion. If you own a decent bridge or DSLR camera, you can zoom in from quite a distance, objects in the background look bigger, much like those massive moonrise shots people do.Here's my example of Lulworth, I was about three quarters of a mile away, a third zoomed in, compare that wave with the people on the cliff, it looks like it's ridiculously high, it was big but only about 30' after crashing in to the rocks.post-15177-0-19078300-1392220984_thumb.j

Yep ok - probably more as you say an optical illusion, bit cheeky though as its just plainly way out of scale as to how it was that day. I took plenty of pics and vids and most guys I showed them to thought the waves were a bit small !

Think I need this bloke's camera next time !

Nice pic by the way

This is just thursdays...Posted ImageScreenshot_2014-02-12-16-10-15.png

Like I said before, that looks a bit OTT to me, I would be suprised if that came off.

But you are likely to see some snowfall with a covering possible tonight.

All down to radar watching I guess now really.

Wind not so bad here although i expect just up the road where i live which is a bit higher will be much worse.

The worst for us though as i mentioned before i believe to be Friday Saturday as this low will be coming from a more southerly track and we wil be on the southern strongest side of it.

That reminds me, I have the pics I took on Saturday, I had to delete a lot of Durdle door, after that hail storm, the lens got covered in crap and I didn't realise.

This was the offender in question..

A couple of tasty squalls showing up towards Northern coasts of Cornwall and Devon right now, could be Thunder and hail in those I imagine.

I see more snow flakes on the met office app screen than I've seen this winter  Posted Image

It isn't the most accurate forecast I realise however it is normally fairly accurate within a 12/24 hour time scale although it's probably over done it to be fair. Posted Image

River levels in Exeter rising fairly rapidly. http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods/riverlevels/120726.aspx?stationId=3262

I am amazed that the river levels haven't been higher than they have, given the amount of rain we've had over the last two months.
