Travelodge Upping the price?

Recommended Posts

Hi all. Been looking to book a hotel room for a couple of nights in March. Usually stay at the Travelodge in Portsmouth as it's handy for the ferry port. When we were thinking of booking a week or so ago, the price for the nights we wanted was £30 per night. Managed to firm up last night & checked, but still couldn't book & the price was £35. Okay I thought it's been a week or so, they do go up. Went on tonight to book & it was £50!

Question is, do they operate like some holiday companies & airlines? By which I mean do they recognise your IP address & up the price each time you visit? Anybody else experienced this?

Gonna give it a try from work tomorrow & see if the price comes down again.

It's more likely they use cookies so a different computer might be needed.I can't see it really because most houses have more than one computer and IP addresses change every few days unless you have a static one.More likely the date you want is filling up as it comes closer.

Maybe so 4wd. Just seemed a huge leap, especially more than a month out.
