Fog now....thick fog....lovely......actually think im just in the cloud....icloud....

Most wintry feeling day of the year so far .. with that continental cold feel. Awoke to a white frosty scene before cloud quickly rolled in leaving a cold grey sort of day. Its a cold night and frost is forming under cloudy skies indicative of the cold dewpoints.

 

Tomorrow morning could bring some sleety wet snow to relatively low levels. The fells should get a good pasting. Good to see some decent snow cover on them at present.

Its actually just started lightly snowing here, very finely, the sky is orange

Update it is still drizzle here but atmosphere has the sound and feel for snow as well as the clouds looking that way feels strange

I am 70% it is very light snow here as the ground has Gond slightly white, just which it was heavier so I could actually see it properly ( they have changed our lamp post to the bright white ones)

Well the least wintriest January for years is coming to an end.

The lack of frosts and wintry precipitation have been exceptional.

I think we have had 2 frosts this year? Shocking!

Heading up to Teggs Nose today, it's about 360M ASL, so potential for some snow while I'm walking the dog.

Was going to go somewhere else in the peaks, it's 630M ASL so a guarantee snow, but with the missus 9 months pregnant I can't risk being out so far !
