Looking at the radar we should have been under 'something' for a wee while now but nope! - bone dry! Is that what you call anaprop HC?

3.6C/-0.1c/SSE/ESE. and this:

Sleet in centre of Glasgow. Think we only need 400ft for snow today.

A few wet flakes of snow blowing about in the very strong wind.

This wouldn't even be worthy of a mention in a normal winter !

I see that the Met Office has issued a Yellow warning for snow for Northern Ireland and Western Scotland from 9pm tonight. As for me here I've just come back from a walk from Airdrie Town Centre and it was sleet there, snow on the outskirts and then rain by the time I got back here to Coatbridge.

That's the stuff. Should be pelting down according to radar, but jack squits instead.  5C and light rain now anyway.

Latest Met Office warnings suggest a chance of hee haw tonight and into tomorrow for Edinburgh!

That's probably a good thing !

Finally got 1 or 2 flakes mixed in with the rain. Temp dropping slowly now. BBC do appear to be suggesting snow this evening and overnight for Scotland. (mostly higher up but lowering later on)   We will see......

Oooo, trouble up A9 at the moment, look at the Drumochter cam:

Have been looking at that cam on and off. I wish someone, somewhere would think of cleaning the south view lens,   It's been like that for weeks!

Anyway, looking at the current radar, it seems that, as usual, there is a definite split developing north and south of the central belt. Looks like a high ground event only (at the moment)

Aye, this is no a good sign, i.e. the backed up traffic. You can even see the snow starting to fill in the gaps between cars, lorries etc.

Sleety pish mixed with occasional snow here. Nothing lying of course. T is down though to 2.0 C now.
