It is starting to settle in Sth Suburban Embra, despite the ground being sodden, the forecasts being for no snow, and big puddles of previous rain all over! KB weather stn says 0.5C which is the coldest it's been for a while...

Amazing - starting to lie here! Still rather wet on the roads and slushy on the pavements but the roofs and tables are turning increasingly white.

950s are clearly being brough down by the intensity of the precipitation - just slighlty above snow levels at face value but with low surface pressure things have definitely turned the right side of marginal with a very slight amount of altitude.

Now turned to heavy driving sleet

But top of Helensburgh now reporting heavy wet lying snow.

Miserable conditions ...temp down to 1.5 c and winds gusting to almost 45km/h

Radar shows precipitation over here and nothing is falling. Why?

GFS 500mb analogues pointing toward high pressure being around later in the month but obviously will depend on where it takes up home as to how cold it will get but at least it might start to get dryer

Finally!!!! Have waited pretty much all winter, so finally some snow!!!!

Not epic by any means, but it's white stuff falling and lying (for now!) so I'll have to settle for that :)
