Frequent heavy showers rain here. Temp around 7C, obviously varying in showers and very gusty from the WNW. A gust of 68mph between 03 and 04. As I write this another one has just pounced.

I was at my mates house until very late .. I was watching that mass of PPN heading this way and actually walked home just as it was approaching, temp only got down to 3.5C with a dew point of 1.8C, so basically it peed down with rain and I got wet. :)

Missed every other shower though.

!

Currently sunny and 6.5C

I noticed a covering of slushy snow on the cars at 04.30 and reviewing the radar shows a very intense area of showers over this area just before that time. There was some left on the windscreens at 07.00 which got quickly washed away by frequent heavy rain showers which have continued more on than off all morning!

New warnings out for hefty showers tonight and into tomorrow:-http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=map&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1390780800

If we can't have snow (which is hard to come by at the best of times) then hefty showers with hail mixed in will suffice, i'm still willing my January rain total on!

Wow that low sun is lovely, but it's so low it's blocking out vision of the monitor and everything else in the office. Might have get the shades on! Posted Image

Good to see the locals on the Somerset levels letting that government minister now how they feel, perhaps now the government will get off their backsides and do something to help with the serious flooding issues!

As much as I love cold and winter, I'm getting sick of this "winter" now. Looking forward to some relatively warm and DRY days now!
