Just to explain that. The council planted old xmas trees to stabalize the beach much to the outrage of the locals. The wind has uprooted many and they are now touring the town. Joking aside of course this is quite dangerous. Another fine mess you've got me into Ollie.

Lol reminds me of a Christmas Doctor who where the Christmas trees came to life.

Evening All ....

Does anyone know if it is possible to change Kmh to Mph on a weather station.  Topped 106 kmh in a squall line last weekend so wondering what that was in mph.

Divide by 8 multiply by 5  so 106 kmh = 66.25 mph

Thank you very much.  Better get the calculator out for this next bought of winds.  Do you think then that I should buy a  new station that displays in MPH for ease of viewing, if you know what I mean.

Really depends on what weather station you have. Most of the range have an option for changing between metric and imperial measurements, (pressure readings, rainfall, wind speed/force etc). This can often be done on the 'base' station or via software installed on your computer. What model have you got?

Well so far this evening a branch bounced of my windscreen whilst driving through Dousland and the missus car boot has been pulled of its arms by a gust whilst trying to get the shopping out!

The road outside The Burrator is flooded as well just so you know mate....

Certainly no mention whatsoever by Ian just now on forecast.

Rain, rain, wind, wind and more rain....right up to Saturday. No hint at all in his forecast of any snow, even in shower form.

That's not what he said on model thread.. Posted Image

I missed it but Iv been reliably told there was 3 big flashes of lightening and a bang loud enough to be heard in a van driving along the A30 near Taunton.
