Red Sky in Morning,Shepard's warning………oh heck Posted Image

Yeah, cracking sunrise here, I'll upload a couple of pictures later.

It looks like the rain won't affect me until this evening, which is good, as I'm off fishing for a few hours this afternoon, need to pick a coastal spot that is out of the wind, as it is pretty breezy!

Currently 6.5C with some early breaks of sunshine.

Disgusting out there today. Very heavy rain. Tomorrow evening and night looks serious with 40-60mph sustained winds and gusts 80mph plus possible here on the exposed South Cornish coast.

Article on Torridge District Council's website

re: damage to Westwood Ho! seafront, and all along the North Devon Coastline

http://www.torridge.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=9911

With more storms to come, i wonder if the best move, is to fence off the danger zones.

The proper repairs can't get underway, until these storms abate

Good Grief !!

Damage to Bucks Mills - extensive

Looks lively on the radar - us Cornish are going to get soggier methinks.

Is that a squall line forming?

Met office have put wind warnings out tues / wed

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=map&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1391472000

Very strong winds and heavy rain will return to southwestern parts during Tuesday afternoon and evening, eventually spreading into some eastern parts of Northern Ireland later in the evening. Gusts of 60 to 70 mph are expected in many coastal areas, perhaps reaching 80 mph in the most exposed spots Further inland, gusts of 50 to 60 mph are more likely. Strong winds may cause some disruption, particularly due to fallen trees. Large waves and high tides may again give rise to some coastal flooding.

With the lighter evenings, today felt slightly spring like. Anyway, roll on the next deluge. It was nice to have a lecture where I didn't spend the duration drying off!

Woohoo! Heavily snowing currently, cars have a good covering, garden has gone white, probably around 3cm fallen in 5 mins! Chuffed to bits as I have a nasty bout of flu at the moment so that's cheered me up, may go have a play in the 4x4 later :D

Took some pics, more has settled since I took them!
