Only thing I find strange is there is no mention of anything wintry on bbc or meto websites?

Maybe they are dismissing it and expect only rain? Posted Image

Out of interest, assuming you are involved with a weather reporting "station" for Peasedown St John that can be accessed on Weather Underground, I note your monthly rain total is only 112.8mm. This is much lower than other local reports - Roundhill (Gibby) at 192.5, Midsomer Norton at 177.3, Radstock 184.9, Writhlington 222.5. Clearly you do get some local variation but can't believe you've got away with it that much (some doubt on the Paulton 145.5 figure and Timsbury clearly incorrect at 355.6!) If tomorrow is as forecast it will have been a 200mm+ month (with December not having been far behind and February likely to start out heading in the same direction.

No snow in this region tomorrow. The Southerly breeze will lift temperatures in the first half of the morning before rain sets in by midday.

The interest comes in the evening as the main band clears though... Posted Image  Posted Image

I couldn't help but notice that after our second day with only patchy drizzle those fields are looking parched, thank god we have some more moist laden air on it's way. Posted Image

Bitter !!

Just 1c, with that south-east wind picking up

This is the coldest i've felt, so far this winter

White frost appearing on the cars

edit for 4:20am

Still only 1c out there...i guess the temps will start to rise soon

This cam here, shows westward ho car park. A section is taped off, due to storm damage from earlier this month

Could get real interesting again, during the coming days

Slate grey sky this morning and it was a pleasant surprise to drive in without surface water!

Still forecast heavy snow for Saturday between 3am and 9am so I remain upbeat. Posted ImageHint of a chance Tuesday too this morning.

Ski resorts in Scotland look fun. More snow than most of the European resorts, and Canada resorts with loads more to come! Over 2.5 metres in places already. Beats the half centimeter I saw high up in the Cotswolds the other morning....

It sure is!

Just starting in Warminster after what has been a dry 28 hours since drizzle died out early yesterday. I wonder how long until we get that many dry hours in a row again!!

Steady rain here, nothing to heavy.

Still any rain at all is un-welcome for the Somerset levels
