Manchester United fan phones 999 demanding to speak to Sir Alex Ferguson

Recommended Posts

A distressed Manchester United supporter dialled 999 and demanded to speak to Sir Alex Ferguson moments after his team's defeat to Sunderland in the league cup last night.

Greater Manchester Police received the emergency call at 10.30pm just after the final whistle, when United were knocked out of the Capital One Cup in dramatic fashion by the Black Cats, who won 2-1 on penalties after extra time. The supporter, who was said to be in a drunken state, demanded to speak to the Red Devils former boss to discuss the result, a police spokesman confirmed.

Heard the call on the radio before...

Operator - Do you have a crime to report Sir?

Idiot - Yes, I do, Manchester United were KNACKERED!

Had to laugh, but what a complete Moron.

He also sounded about 85 years old.

This is an old one..i remember back in 1992 i think it was when West Ham got relegated someone phoned the policed to report two missing persons...the two were the West Ham strikers who hadn't been seen in the penalty box for the last six months...

It's a moot point whether they'll decide to prosecute on the grounds that he's deliberately making a hoax call or not because he's stupid.
