I'm going to go slightly more conservative as I feel there may be some wet snow mixed in to the rain at times, but nothing to settle.

The BBC forecast just said a few of us are likely to wake up to a dusting of snow tomorrow morning. Posted Image

Or even hear some thunderstorms out to sea?

And the rain has arrived here also (knew it would wait until I was thinking of nipping out, of course it would, why would it not?)

morning everyone, Southernman left very early this morning to go to Selsey, we were worried about bad weather and the remnants of trees etc in the road from last night, he has just rung me from Boxhill and says all was calm on the journey to there, no trees he could see, no wind or rain so far.

Here it is very dull seems it is about to rain if it isn't already.

So today will be an interesting watch and see sort of day then.

How do we lamppost watch with the lights turn off, anyone? Posted Image

I can turn the car headlights on from the key fob from indoors while it's on the drive... Might have to resort to that!

Just running the Met O 5 day out to Friday and NW NMM to the same range and all they show in our region is some very light dusting in the NE of East Anglia tomorrow morning and sleet in Essex on Friday early hours. I'm still of the mind that most of us here aren't going to see sufficient lying snow to break out the big smiley smiley's!

Hmmm yes the bacon to the rescue. Maybe mushrooms and eggs too.Its tipping down here all nowAnd thus results in yep another day stuck indoors with the kids, can't wait for this winter to just "do one"!

I did toy with the idea of a fry-up this morning till I noticed I have no bacon out (it is all in the freezer), so settled for a slice of toast and a cup of tea instead.

My birds make me laugh, they are so like inquisitive children, Southernman left an empty cardboard shoe box on the table ready to take it to the recycling bin, when he came back, the birds were sitting in it, cooing. We didn't have the heart to remove them so they've got a new toy now.

Pleased to say that the life of the pig that died to give me my nice leg of pork for my Sunday dinner was not in vain, it's started to rain in Dartford, therefore her indoors pleased she didn't do the washing, and my Sunday dinner is being prepared, could life be any better? Well yes one of those bacon rolls being discussed could find its way to Dartford along with a nice dollop of brown sauce.

Even the MOD thread seem to have a slight bit of agreement breaking out.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming.
