Yep, as evidenced in the game of golf - you can hit the ball further in summer than you can in winter.

Is that the same in crazy golf?

I know that this doesn't mean it's nailed on but...

... and having just chatted to an Exeter colleague asking if I'd seen the EC ENS for later next week/weekend, the talk is of absolutely the opposite re 'disappointment' for coldies. Enough said.

Sounds good to me. Fast forward 6/7 hours to JP time please :D

Strange though how the people who actually have working knowledge are saying good signs for coldies.

Model thread on the latest runs..

I thought they all seemed quite excited? Just read through the last half hour and general consensus is the start of the 12z is ok with cold to east and west and still indicating some potential for snow?

Having just got back, it appears that the MOD thread is generally positive except for a few of the mild rampers and stirrers posting FI GFS charts doing what GFS FI outputs do best - blasting the blocking high out of the way with barely any effort.  Most, if not all, of the reliable posters are suggesting that we're unlikely to see a return to mild muck for a while - the current preoccupation seems to be whether it'll be cold muck or the s-word.

To save you all waiting - similar UKMO-GM from T+120 onwards. Signal for the colder entrainment is one with confidence now next week... how long it lasts, is not. More woes end of next week, re disruptive weather? It's got a bothersome look...

Good evening folks and I hope everyone is well.Posted Image.  So it might  be game on for the start of the Snow Depth Cup next week.......possibly/maybe ?!

In the meantime that frontal system heading our way this evening and tonight looks to be intensifying a bit, which is bad news for those who are already saturated.

Thank you to Steve, Surrey et al for describing The Block so well. Another lesson learned. :)

Sorry for the OT post but, see that little band of torrential rain out in the north sea, what is it a radar blip?

If not how does something like that occur away from the rest of the rain formation?

Over 800 viewing the mod thread! Must be a sniff of a snowflake in the air if that many are on there Posted Image

Most of them are saying that the ECM output is underwhelming.  What baffles me is that a member who goes by the forum name "Geordiesnow" appears determined to predict that there won't be any.Posted Image

Probably an anaprop - in other words, seeing something that isn't there.

i did it earlier in the month and 'pop', the easterly was gone next day !!!!!

Well I don't believe you cursed it BA, As usual they are a bugger to get in, Never known anything so frustrating when viewing an Easterly potential in the Output, Still hopefully this is the one.
