But like I said not expecting miracles

 

This year it's going to take a few of those to give us cold and snow fans the seasonal weather we like to see. I still can't assess the bigger picture at the moment and I'm too nervous to venture into the MOD thread this early in the morning Posted Image

Morning all,

 

At least i think its morning....very thick out there. Im now in Southwark and not much to speak of here in town.

 

Still its better than the rain i guess, although im sure that wont take long to return.

Morning all. :)

 

Fog is thickening here, with the rising sun, but it's hardly a 'pea-souper' The landscape has a touch of white about it too, but I'm not sure whether we have freezing fog  here though - I'll go and check the temperature, in the car soon! :D

Mornin each. That fog descended really fast last night and it is lingering and it's very cold. Quite thick but I've seen worse. Also, there are lots of frost covered cobwebs about...eeeeeeeK!!!!!!! They really give me the eebie jeebies. :O

I do love this Satellite link for yr.no, shows so clearly the high pressure block over mainland Northern Europe with us so tantalizingly close to it.

Looks that way Coast, hopefully it will lose some strength, but normally once a gfs bullseye is in high res they tend to verify, just a case of watching the track.

Hi just got back, it was frostier than I thought this morning, the car was covered in ice.

I had my chest xray, won't know the result for a few days, it was a bit silly, it took three seconds, and took longer to undress and wear the gown thing.

 

Good news!!!!!!!!!Southernman saw the consultant in the clinic this morning and it ISN'T a TIA!!!!!!!!!!!  They discovered that when he moves, his blood pressure is fluctuating wildly, and they said that the symptoms of confusion and slurred speech are down to that, so they have reviewed his medication and found that one of them is the culprit, and he should be ok now they have altered the dosage.

 

I have been so worried!He didn't even need a scan, they discovered it immediately they started doing observations on him when he first went in.I don't know why it wasn't picked up in casualty when he went in, but maybe because he was on a trolley at that time and so wasn't moving at all, this morning he was walking and sitting in the clinic.

 

Anyway, on the way back the fog was very thick and at times it was very dark, not just light, it was a strange and eerie effect.

 

Still very cold outside.

Thanks everyone, the level of support to each other in this region is really something to be proud of.

 

Weatherwise, its becoming quite a raw sort of cold here.Wonder what Thursday might bring then?
